Welcome to VentureGrill: venture capital, well done
VentureGrill

Venture capital has never moved more money, minted more headlines, or shaped more of the technology industry than it does today. And yet most coverage of it is either a press-release rewrite or a paywalled terminal. We think there is room for something sharper.

VentureGrill is an independent publication with a single beat: the money behind startups. Funding rounds from pre-seed to pre-IPO. New funds and the limited partners behind them. Exits — IPOs, acquisitions, secondaries. Valuations, markups, and the down rounds nobody tweets about.

#What we cover

  • Funding rounds — who raised, from whom, at what terms, and why it matters.
  • Venture funds — new vehicles, emerging managers, LP sentiment, fund economics.
  • Exits — IPOs, M&A, and the secondary market where paper returns become real ones.
  • The AI capital cycle — where the biggest checks in venture history are actually going.

#How we work

We are deferential to facts and allergic to PR-speak. Our editorial policy, ethics statement, and public corrections log are linked in the footer of every page. When we get something wrong, we say so, in public.

If it matters to founders raising or investors deploying, it belongs here. Everything else is noise.

The best way to follow along is The Weekly Grill, our Monday newsletter with the week’s biggest rounds, exits, and fund moves. No fluff, no sponsored placements, one email a week.
